Sometimes a single image is enough. The Avenue of the Baobabs near Morondava in western Madagascar is among the island’s most striking natural sights.
Centuries-old baobabs line the dusty path and seem to glow in the warm evening light. The mighty trunks of the rare species Adansonia grandidieri rise into the sky like columns – a ray of light in the truest sense, captured by MEN photographer Jürg Sommerhalder.
