Untamed power

From the Scottish island of Islay comes this single malt, proof that even 25 years of maturation cannot tame Ardbeg’s smoky power. Complex, majestic aromas combine in the oldest and most prestigious release from the traditional house — a rare chance to experience Ardbeg at its most sophisticated. Ardbeg 25 Years Old, 620 francs.

With depth

The premium tequila Volcán de mi Tierra by Moët Hennessy is made 100 percent from blue agave. Its name recalls the eruption of the Tequila volcano 200,000 years ago, which created the perfect soil for the plant. Available as Tequila Blanco, with a hint of grapefruit and black pepper, or as Añejo Cristalino, with strong notes of caramel, tobacco and dark chocolate. Volcán Blanco 50, Añejo Cristalino 75 francs.

Very Special

Hennessy Very Special teams up with Les Twins, the well-known French urban dance duo, for two limited-edition cognacs named after the twins: «Lil Beast» and «Ca Blaze». Very Special is the modern interpretation of the traditional three-star Hennessy: on the nose an intense, fruity character with pleasant oak notes; on the palate a harmonious symphony of spice and fruit with vanilla nuances. Hennessy Very Special x Les Twins, 40.50 francs.

A dream

More than 25 years ago, Dr Bill Lumsden set out to give Glenmorangie’s Highland single malts even more aroma and finesse. The Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 is the result of that vision: for a full decade, former bourbon casks created the base maturation, before the single malt aged a further 13 years in sought-after red-wine casks from Château Montrose (Saint-Estèphe appellation, Bordeaux), developing exceptional dark-berry fruit aromas. A dream for every single-malt fan. Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997, 859 francs.
